Lo-Fi Collective with ID/Lab and Sumo Visual group are screening the film Sign Painters for one night only in Sydney.
The documentary by American directors Faythe Levine and Sam Macon delves into the world of sign painting, featuring stories of more than twenty sign painters working in cities across the US.
The film focuses on the history of the craft, its old-school methods, and the dedicated craftsmanship, as well as challenges brought on by the threat of new technology. It looks like it’s filled with some pretty colourful characters, too.
